3,141 Yobe civil servants take 2024 promotion exams 

 

The Yobe state Head of Service(HoS) Hamidu M. Alhaji has  said 3,141 civil servants sat for the 2024 promotion examination across Damaturu, Potiskum and Gashua centres in the state.

Hamidu made this known in Damaturu while supervising the conduct of the examination held at Government Girls College(GGC), Damaturu.

The HoS said the purpose of the examination was to enhance productivity and efficiency in civil service as well as to acquaint civil servants with government policies and programmes.

He expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise assuring the full support and cooperation of civil servants for the Buni administration to implement its developmental policies and programmes for the benefit of all.

“We have three examination centres, one in Damaturu, Potiskum and Gashua, so in all the three centers, there are 3,141 thousand civil servants are currently writing the promotion examination.

“On the criteria in which government used to follow for selection of the candidates for the promotion examination,” any one that is eligible for the promotion by years of service will buy the form and apply,” Hamidu added.

He commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for creating the enabling environment for 2024 examination to take place at all the designation centers in the state.
