Sanwo-Olu Appoints Former Budget Commissioner As Deputy Chief Of Staff

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed Sam Egube as his new Deputy Chief of Staff.

This was disclosed on Wednesday by the Special Adviser Media and Publicity to the governor, Gboyega Akosile.

Egube was the Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning in Sanwo-Olu’s first term.

Although he was part of the cabinet nominees of the governor for the second term, his nomination was rejected by the state House of Assembly.

Egube replaces the former Deputy Chief of Staff, Gboyega Soyannwo, who passed on recently after a brief illness.

Soyannwo died at the age of 55.

Egube would be sworn in on Thursday.
