Serie A: Lookman named in team of the week

Super Eagles and Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman has continued to shine following his heroics at the Europa League final and Serie A performance against Torino.

The Nigerian winger has now been rewarded with a place in the Serie A team of the week.

Lookman scored  in La Dea’s 3-0 home win against Torino last weekend.

The Nigeria international was also fouled for a penalty that was converted by Mario Pasalic.

The 26-year-old fired four shots, two key passes and a pass completion rate of 76.7% during the encounter.

Lookman has so far scored 16 goals and provided eight assists across all competitions for Atalanta this season.

Atalanta will take on Fiorentina in their final game of the season this weekend.

Lookman has been included in the Super Eagles’ squad to face South Africa and Benin Republic for the  group C 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
