Xiaomi has quietly launched the Redmi Note 13R, the newest addition to its budget 5G smartphone lineup in China, succeeding last year’s Note 12R. This device features a 6.79-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a centrally located punch-hole accommodating an 8MP front camera. It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Advanced Edition processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM.
The Redmi Note 13R offers up to 512GB of internal storage and showcases a crystal glass design, measuring just 8.32mm in thickness. It also boasts an IP53 rating, making it resistant to dust and splashes. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro lens.
Xiaomi has incorporated a novel magnetically controlled ink process in the phone’s design, which produces a wave texture that mimics the appearance of sea waves under sunlight. This visual effect is both dynamic and three-dimensional, enhancing the smooth and silky feel of the glass, according to the company.
Running on Android 14 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS, the Redmi Note 13R features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 5030mAh battery, and supports 33W fast charging.
