Ambush Arrested For Allegedly Producing Fake Cough Syrup, Ruth Fakes Own Kidnap
Mark Chukwuemeka Ambush has confessed to producing adulterated cough syrup after being arrested by the Zone 2 Command of the Nigeria Police Force.
His arrest was as a result of a petition filed by Walter Anyaoha, the Managing Director of Wihyaland Pharmaceutical Limited.
In addition, Chisom Ndukwu, a trainee with Anyaoha was arrested in the company of the suspect, Mark Chukwuemeka Ambush.
The suspects were paraded on Thursday by the AIG Olatoye Durosinmi-led Zone 2 Command, which comprises Lagos and Ogun states.
According to the spokesperson of the Zone 2 Command, SP Umma Ayuba, Chisom Ndukwu, the trainee, had been living with Anyaoha but suddenly left the house to an unknown place.
Upon checking his shop, Anyaoha realised that four cartons of JVI drug valued at Nine Million, Six Hundred Thousand Naira (N9,600,000.00k) were missing.
The police further informed that an investigation into the allegation by CSP Omotayo Adegbite O/C Zonal Anti-Crime Unit led to the arrest of the suspects.
Upon searching the houses and premises of the suspects, bags containing packs with the inscription of DSP CODIENE COUGH SYRUPS, empty bottles and covers of cough syrups were recovered.
The suspects admitted to the crime with one Kosi who is currently at large.
Investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being intensified to arrest fleeing suspects.
In a related development, Ruth Livinus, a domestic staff who works in Ajah and her boyfriend, Isaac Gabriel, have been arrested for prearranged kidnap and extortion.
She was arrested with her cousin, Jeremiah Boniface for alleged attempt to extort money from her employer and family members.
The bubble burst when Jona Jumai, Ruth’s sister reported her disappearance to the Police.
Similarly, Dennis Ebeze, who was a domestic staff (chef) at the time, was alleged to have broken and stolen jewelries and other valuables worth over Forty Million Naira (N40,000,000.00k)
The suspect was arrested somewhere in Makurdi, Benue State, through a technology-driven investigation by SP Mariam Ogunmolasuyi and team.
He confessed to having sold the stolen items to one Mutairu Yakubu for a sum of Seven Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira (N7,400,000.00k) before he absconded to his hometown in Cross-River state.
