Breaking: Reps propose 6-year single term for president,  governors

A group of 35 members of the House of Representatives, has proposed a single term of six years for president of Nigeria and also for state governors.

The lawmakers also said elections into all political offices should hold simultaneously on the same day, to save the country from huge electoral expenditure.

The group’s spokesman,  Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, who led other members of the team unveiled six of the 50 proposed Bills, some of which have scaled first reading stage, during a media briefing in Abuja on Monday.
