Carver Actor Seemingly Confirms His Chicago Fire Season 13 Fate After Shock Exit

Summary

  • Jake Lockett insinuates Sam Carver’s return in
    Chicago Fire
    Season 13 on Instagram.
  • Carver’s role at Firehouse 51 is crucial for the show’s future storyline, especially in light of
    Chicago Fire
    losing so many characters.
  • Carver’s potential exit would be more significant than Boden’s departure, considering what he means for the future of
    Chicago Fire
    .

Sam Carver’s fate at Firehouse 51 may be in limbo, but Jake Lockett has seemingly confirmed his status for Chicago Fire season 13. The Chicago Fire season 12 finale was packed with so many twists and turns. Chief Boden’s departure from Firehouse 51 was arguably its biggest plot, but Jack Damon’s Benny Severide twist was also noteworthy. Amid all of these storylines, it was easy to overlook Carver’s disappearance at the end of the shift, with Stella Kidd saying he went on an unexpected furlough after a particularly tricky call where he and Damon ended up in a brawl.

Taking it to his official Instagram account, Lockett seemingly confirms that Carver is still part of Firehouse 51 when Chicago Fire returns for season 13. Check out his post below:

In the video text, Lockett is referring to Carver being part of Truck 81, which is usually the rival, albeit in a friendly manner, of Squad 3, which Joe Mińoso’s Joe Cruz is a part of. The video also features a cameo from former Chicago Fire cast member, Alberto Rosende.

Why Chicago Fire Season 13 Needs Carver Back

Carver Has A Vital Role In The Future Of Firehouse 51

Chicago Fire season 12 featured several character exits, which will have a massive impact on the show’s future. Much has been said about Firehouse 51 losing Boden, but at least the character’s departure was an organic development for his storyline. After all the good work he has done, he deserves the spot to spearhead the Chicago Fire Department. Given this, Carver’s potential Chicago Fire exit is bigger than Boden’s. Luckily, it appears that he will eventually find his way back to Firehouse 51 when Chicago Fire season 13 kicks off this fall.

In light of Matt Casey and Blake Gallo’s departures, not to mention the persistent rumors about Kelly Severide also leaving. Carver is positioned to be one of the next faces of Chicago Fire. Despite being a fairly new player in One Chicago, Lockett has settled into the franchise just like his character in Firehouse 51. Aside from being a solid addition to Stella Kidd’s crew, his romance with Violet is Chicago Fire season 12’s best love line. There’s still so much to explore in their burgeoning relationship, and it would be a shame if it ends because Carver leaves.

The Chicago Fire season 12 finale offers a subtle update about Sylvie Brett revealing that she deviated from a Firehouse 51’s tradition.

Luckily, it seems like Lockett isn’t going anywhere. Firehouse 51 will be in a transition period when it returns in Chicago Fire season 13 because of Boden’s exit. There will likely be a new round of characters coming in to fill some personnel void. It’s good to know that Kidd and the house have someone as reliable as Carver throughout this duration.
