“I can’t imagine the untold trauma” – Chacha Eke reconciles with her mother, a year after she opened up on her mental struggle with her

Nollywood actress Chacha Eke Faani has finally reconciled with her mother, Barrister Mrs Elizabeth Eke, a year after she recounted her mental struggle with her.

In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, she celebrated her Mother’s Day with several photos of them over the years. In her caption, Chacha described her mother, who she called beautiful, as the warrior who birthed her.

She expressed gratitude to God that the chemical reaction that displaced her identity in her memory reoccurred, and she regained her daughter. She noted how she has 3 daughters and can’t imagine the untold trauma of being forgotten by any of them.

The wife of filmmaker Austin Faani went on to use her mother as a point of reference to pray for those suffering from mental and spiritual captivity.

“This beautiful woman I’m holding onto in these photos is the warrior that birthed me. I mean, she is MY BIOLOGICAL MOTHER 😍

As she marks her birthday today, I’m grateful to God that the chemical reaction that displaced her identity in my memory reoccurred, and she regained her daughter.
I have 3 daughters, and I cannot imagine the untold trauma of being forgotten by any of them.

Kemi Filani reported in June 2023 that Chacha Eke had spilt on how her mental health challenge affected her relationship with her mother. She reflected on how she had disdain and hatred for her mother as she got older, and because of the wrong information she got from several men of God over her man!c episodes, she began to wish her mother death until she discovered that she had dysfunctional thought patterns and beliefs that switches her most favourite to her least favourite.

In 2022, while opening up on her mental health journey, Chacha revealed that she got her ‘crãziness’ from her mother and would likely pass it to her daughter. She disclosed that she lost a baby 18 years ago and was still dealing with the trauma.
