The legacy sequel follows in the spirit of 1996’s Twister, but the new disaster epic follows a different set of characters chasing tornadoes and dust storms in Oklahoma. It carries a powerful pedigree, with Minari‘s Lee Isaac Chung helming the project as director and Top Gun: Maverick‘s Joseph Kosinski writing the screenplay.

The Top Gun: Maverick connection makes it no surprise that Glen Powell leads the cast of Twisters, and he is surrounded by some of Hollywood’s hottest up-and-coming stars. Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People), Anthony Ramos (In The Heights), Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), and David Corenswet (Superman) are chief among the talented leads but they are far from the only top-tier members of the ensemble.
