NPFL: Beyond Limits FC may lose promotion ticket – Club Chairman, Soname

The champions of the  Nigeria National League,  (NNL) Beyond Limits, may not participate in the Nigeria Premier Football League next season.

This was made known by the club Chairman, Hon Kunle Soname.

Both Beyond Limit and Remo stars are owned by one owner, Kunle Soname. And according to the rules guiding NPFL, no two clubs from the same parent body would be allowed to compete at the elite division.

Addressing Journalists in Lagos, , Hon Kunle Soname made it known that the club will come out with a statement soon stating if they would participate in the NPFL or not.

Soname said that the club’s management are still in talks to debate on the requirements and challenges of participating in the NPFL.

“Football for us isn’t a social service, it’s a business,” he stated to the media.

“The management of Beyond Limits are in talks to see if they can cope with the challenges of the NPFL vis-a-vis the financial and the physical commitment.

“If they feel they can cope with it, they will play, but if otherwise, they will have to think of other ways of monetising their laurel.”

It would be recalled that Beyond Limits, Nasarawa United, El-Kanemi Warriors and Ikorodu City gained promotion to the top-flight from the NNL last season.
