PHOTO: Troops Arrest Two, Destroy Criminal Hideout In Taraba

The Nigerian Army has dismantled a criminal network hideout located in the Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State.

The operation, executed by Troops of the 6 Brigade in collaboration with Sector 3 OPWS recorded the arrest of two suspects.

The troops had acted on credible intelligence following a series of criminal activities including armed robbery, kidnapping, and illegal arms dealing linked to the assailants.

Counter-Insurgence expert, Zagazola Makama in a series of pictorial posts via X on Wednesday noted that the troops recovered an AK-47 rifle and a cache of ammunition.

One of the suspects, Malam Ali Tambaya who was arrested in Wanzani village of the same LGA had in his possession an AK 47 rifle and 42 rounds of 7.62 MM special ammunition.

Ali Tambaya had confessed to purchasing the rifle from one Alhaji Dandi at N500,000 about five years ago and also ammunition at the cost of N1000 each.
