The ending of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory season 2 sets up further connections to the film series and expands the scope of the dinosaur-filled world, all while teasing further divisions within the Nublar Six. Building off the events of season 1 as well as the previous series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Chaos Theory embraces a darker tone while forcing Darius, Kenji, Yaz, Sammi and Ben to escape the same conspiracy that seemingly killed Brooklynn. However, the twists and turns of season 1 set up Jurassic World: Chaos Theory‘s characters for big shocks, like the reveal that Brooklynn is actually alive.

Season 2 takes things even further, bringing the cast around the world to new continents for new missions to bring down massive threats to the dinosaurs that now populate unexpected locations. The result is a season that expands the scope of the franchise and directly connects to films like Jurassic World: Dominion, all while keeping the focus character-driven. There’s More To Brooklyn’s Dark Decisions Then Meets The Eye

One of the big turns in Jurassic World: Chaos Theory‘s season 2 finale “Reunions” sees Brooklynn double down on her plans to bring down the Broker. Revealed to be Soyona Santos from Jurassic World: Dominion, the Broker is Brooklynn’s key to targeting the black market that is selling and smuggling dinosaurs around the world. Brooklynn’s efforts steadily impress and endear her to Santos, who brings her along jn her escape.

Even when given the chance to reunite with her friends or explain herself Brooklynn remains undercover and seemingly sides with Santos. This sets her up to dive even further into the lion’s den in season 3 of Chaos Theory. Given that Santos survives to take part in the events of Dominion (which happens after Chaos Theory in the Jurassic Park timeline), it’s unclear how successful Brooklynn will be. However, it sets up a far more dramatic season 3 and beyond for the animated show.

Bumpy’s Egg & What The Broker Needs The Dino Eggs For

The Broker Has Big Plans For The Dinosaur Eggs

An unofficial member of the Nublar Six by this point, Bumpy has been a consistent reminder that humans and dinosaurs can co-exist. Bumpy laid an egg in the first season, but the unborn dinosaur was stolen away by people working for the Broker. This sets up the Nublar Six to chase after the Broker at the end of Chaos Theory season 1. However, the villain’s plans for the eggs are far worse than they can imagine.

As revealed in the two-part “Lab Partners” storyline in season 2, it turns out Santos and the other scientists in her employ intend to rewrite the DNA of the dinosaurs within the Eggs. Although this will erase the creatures that could be born, it plays into Santos’ plans to genetically modify and clone her own supply of dinosaurs. In theory, this stream of genetically cloned dinosaurs could allow the Broker to create her own supply of dinosaurs, negating the need to hunt down and capture dinosaurs for her smuggling operation.

The Broker Has Dark Plans For The Future

Previous storylines in the Jurassic World franchise have highlighted the dangers of creating hybrid dinosaurs. This was seen clearly with the Indominus rex, the T. Rex/Raptor hybrid that threatened the teens in Camp Cretacrous and was the primary threat of Jurassic World. However, Santos seems to be moving away from the idea of making hybrid creatures that are hard to control. Instead, Santos seems more content to clone them instead, giving her control over the scope of her operations and give her tigheter control of the dinosaurs.

It’s a dangerous plan that could make Santos incredibly powerful it succeeds. It also makes her the latest example of a human villain in the Jurassic franchise who believes she can control nature through unchecked science. Although her plans are disrupted and she’s forced to destroy her Senegal labs to cover her tracks, it’s clear from season 2’s ending she has no intention of slowing down her ambitions. Santos even has the perfect ally to expand her operations with.

How Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Directly Connects To Jurassic World: Dominion

One of the big turns of Chaos Theory season 2 confirms that Santos has made an arrangement with Biosyn. The genetics company that’s been an overarching threat of the franchise since the events of Jurassic Park, and were the overarching villains of Jurassic World: Dominion. They’ve been trying to gain control of the dinosaur DNA so they can enact their own plans for the future.

The fact that Santos has a collection of dinosaur eggs for them makes the likelihood that their plans will come together all the more likely, even if Santos’ plans to perfect the cloning process are undone by the investigations of the Nublar Six. This doesn’t mean the plans could be erased fully, though. It’s likely that the eggs Santos brings to Biosyn could jumpstart their plans in season 3, and could even play into their plans from Jurassic World: Dominion or beyond into Jurassic World Rebirth.

It’s All Connected

The presence of Santos as the Broker directly connects Chaos Theory and Jurassic World: Dominion. The third film in the modern iteration of the Jurassic franchise, the 2022 film saw Santos working as a black market smuggler aligned with Biosyn. It seems that Chaos Theory will delve more into the origins and specifics of that partnership, including what Biosyn gets out of it and how it leads to their working relationship in Dominion.

As Chaos Theory inches closer to the events of that film, it’s possible that season 3 and beyond could take the connection even further and fully illustrate where the Nublar Six are during the events of that film. They could even introduce a moment of crossover between the Nublar Six storyline and the plots of the live-action films. This could be the key to making the Nublar Six more vital to the overarching Jurassic World franchise.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 3 Setup Explained

The Nublar Six Are More Divided Than Ever

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory ends season 2 on a conflicted note. On the one hand, the Nublar Six have saved Bumpy’s egg, brought down the lab in Senegal, and discovered Brooklynn’s survival. They’ve even formed new allies in the process. However, their trust in her has been deeply shaken by her decision to keep them in the dark about her fate.

On top of this, that truth could also negatively impact the entire group dynamic, as Ben’s discovery of her survival earlier in the season (but decision to keep it quiet out of respect to her wishes) has already damaged his rapport with Kenji. This conflict could fester into a larger divide between the group. With Santos now having a vested interest in bringing down the Nublar Six (along with the likely resources afforded to her thanks to Biosyn) could make Jurassic World: Chaos Theory season 3 even more dangerous and intense.

Set in the Jurassic World universe, this series explores the unpredictable consequences of cloning dinosaurs, focusing on the ethical and environmental dilemmas faced by scientists and park rangers. As chaos unfolds, characters grapple with the prehistoric creatures’ integration into the modern world, highlighting the fragile balance between humanity and nature.
