The Morning Show Season 4: Renewal, Cast, Story & Everything We Know

The Morning Show season 4 has been confirmed, and while full details aren’t available yet, Apple TV+ has provided updates on what awaits for the long-term future of the Newsroom comedy. The Morning Show stars Jennifer Aniston and Reece Witherspoon as co-hosts of a morning news show (also called The Morning Show). Since its debut, it has become the second-most watched Apple TV+ original after Ted Lasso, thanks both to its fast-paced drama and performances of Aniston, Witherspoon, and the rest of the cast.

Given its success, it’s little surprise that Apple chose to continue The Morning Show beyond seasons 1 and 2. Both Jennifer Aniston and Reece Witherspoon are set to reprise their roles (both in the cast and as executive producers) for season 4, although there’s not much known about what awaits viewers beyond this. The third season brought some new cast members and story arcs that’ll doubtless factor into The Morning Show season 4, and what’s been teased so far hints that there may be even more to come.

Several months after it was announced that season 4 had begun filming, the latest news confirms that shooting has wrapped on The Morning Show season 4. In a piece by People, Jennifer Aniston commemorated the season which “was hard. It was so hard” to film, and “jam-packed, that’s for sure.” While she didn’t provide much by way of story details, she did confirm that shooting wrapped up in January 2025. A release date hasn’t been revealed yet, but more information will likely come out soon.

Apple TV+ Ordered Another Season Of The Morning Show

The Morning Show season 4 was confirmed by Apple in April 2023, and the show’s renewal was in little jeopardy. With star power like Witherspoon and Aniston at the helm, the series has been a consistent hit for the streamer, and the possibility for a fifth season isn’t entirely out of the question either. Witherspoon and Aniston are not only returning to star, but they will also resume their duties as producers, and it has been confirmed that season 4 will arrive after the US Presidential election in November 2024.

Filming started in the middle of 2024 and eventually wrapped in the first days of 2025. While no release date has been announced yet, it can be assumed that the Apple TV+ original will land at some point in the second quarter of 2025 (April, May, or June).

Aniston & Witherspoon Will Return

The cast of The Morning Show season 4 will likely remain more-or-less the same though some exits are possible. Jennifer Aniston’s Alex and Reese Witherspoon’s Bradley will be back, with the duo heading the cast of The Morning Show and serving as executive producers. One important new addition is veteran character actor Jeremy Irons who will play Martin Levy, Alex’s father. Based on character details, it’s clear that the two have never had a strong relationship.

Considering the break-up between Alex and Paul in the aftermath of the merger falling through in the finale of The Morning Show season 3, it is likely that John Hamm won’t be returning. Many supporting stars, such as Billy Crudup as Cory Ellison and Mark Duplass’s Chip could be expected to return for The Morning Show season 4. Another new addition to season 4 is Marion Cotillard who will play the role of Celine Dumont.
