MobLand Cast & Character Guide

Guy Ritchie’s new crime drama series MobLand features a talented cast headlined by some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, which should elevate the explosive underworld action that Ritchie is famous for. MobLand began as a loose spinoff of the Showtime classic crime show Ray Donovan, with the intention of telling the backstory behind the family at the show’s center. However, as the show was developed, it evolved into a standalone series, keeping the crime family elements but jettisoning the connection to the Showtime series; it moved from Showtime to Paramount+ in that time period as well.

The series focuses on the Harrigan crime family of modern-day London, specifically around their rivalry with another family, the Stevensons, in the drug trade. They rely on their “fixer”, Harry Da Souza, for protection, investigation, enforcement, and anything else they could need to protect themselves and expand their empire. Featuring Pierce Brosnan as the patriarch Conrad Harrigan, Helen Mirren as the crafty matriarch Maeve Harrigan, and Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza, MobLand has already debuted to positive Rotten Tomatoes scores.

Pierce Brosnan As Conrad Harrigan

Date of Birth: May 16th, 1953

Actor: Pierce Brosnan is one of the most well-recognized leading men in Hollywood thanks to his time holding the title of “007”; Brosnan was the face of James Bond between 1995 and 2004. Brosnan’s breakout role came in 1982 as Remington Steele in the beloved detective show of the same name, and since then he’s starred in many other major movies, including classics like Mamma Mia!, The Thomas Crown Affair, and Mrs. Doubtfire.

Character: Conrad Harrigan is the head of a London-based Irish crime family. While typically measured in word and deed, he has no issue pulling a trigger or making an aggressive play to expand his empire.

Tom Hardy As Harry Da Souza

Date of Birth: September 15th, 1977

Actor: Regarded by many as one of Hollywood’s most talented leading men, Tom Hardy truly broke out in 2008 as Michael Peterson/Charles Bronson in the biographical drama Bronson. Since then he has starred in both franchises and smaller-scale movies and TV shows, and has earned widespread acclaim. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in The Revenant.

Character: Harry Da Souza is the fixer for the Harrigan family. Typically cool-headed, the hardened and intelligent agent of Conrad Harrigan is capable of great violence and intensity if it’s required to protect a member of the Harrigan family or if it’s good business for his employers.

Helen Mirren As Maeve Harrigan

Date of Birth: July 26th, 1945

Actress: The prolific legend of stage and screen Helen Mirren has earned an Academy Award, five Emmys, a Tony Award, and many more accolades over the course of her illustrious career. Her breakout role came in 1980’s The Long Good Friday, but she gained even more widespread recognition in the long-running police procedural Prime Suspect.

Character: Maeve Harrigan might be the most dangerous member of the Harrigan family, as the matriarch knows how to influence others, including her husband. That puts the two at odds occasionally, but the matriarch has the same goal as her husband: to protect her family and see the empire grow.

Paddy Considine As Kevin Harrigan

Date of Birth: September 5th, 1973

Actor: The celebrated British actor has experience in screenwriting, directing, and is also a musician, all of which have played a role in his near-universal respect in the film industry. His breakout role came in the British psychological thriller Dead Man Shoes in 2004, although his most widely-recognizable performance came recently. He portrayed King Viserys I in HBO’s Game of Thrones spinoff, House of the Dragon.

Character: Kevin Harrigan is the trusted son of Conrad Harrigan, wife to Bella, and the father of the foolish and rebellious Eddie Harrigan. Firmly entrenched and active in the family business, Kevin is a complex character with ambitions that could lead to trouble.

Joanne Froggatt As Jan Da Souza

Date of Birth: August 23rd, 1980

Actor: The British actress has already racked up her fair share of awards; she received three Emmy nominations for her role as Anna Bates in the wildly popular period drama Downton Abbey. While she had other acting roles before that, her role in Downton Abbey, which began in 2010, represents her real breakout. Since then, she has starred in both movies and TV shows of varying genres and scale.

Character: Harry’s wife Jan is understanding of her husband’s work, but she’s there to keep him in check as needed. She is also fiercely independent, and has her own unfolding story that isn’t reliant upon Harry’s various misdeeds.

Geoff Bell as Richie Stevenson

Date of Birth: February 24th, 1963

Actor: The English character actor has made many minor appearances across TV and movies on both sides of the Atlantic. It’s tough to pin down a true breakout role for him, but one of his most widely-seen appearances came in 2011’s War Horse. More recently, he played Jack Verhoeven in the HBO/BBC One series His Dark Materials.

Character: Richie Stevenson is the leader of an up-and-coming competitor to the Harrigan crime family, essentially acting as Conrad Harrigan’s chief rival when MobLand begins. Equal parts clever and volatile, Richie Stevenson is tired of playing second fiddle to the hated Harrigans.

Anson Boon As Eddie Harrigan

Date of Birth: February 15th, 2000

Actor: Anson Boon’s acting career is young, but his breakout definitely came in 2019, when he had appearances in three major movies: the horror film Crawl, the drama film Blackbird, and Sam Mendes’ acclaimed war epic 1917. More recently, he starred in Pistol, the Danny Boyle-directed biographical miniseries about the British punk band The Sex Pistols, as Johnny Rotten.

Character: Eddie Harrigan is the wild and out-of-control son of Kevin Harrigan, and the grandson of Conrad Harrigan. He believes himself untouchable due to his family’s power and wealth, and thanks to Harry Da Souza, he may very well be untouchable to everyone else.

Lara Pulver As Bella Harrigan

Date of Birth: September 1st, 1980

Actor: The English actress first broke out to a broad audience in 2010 when she was cast in HBO’s popular vampire series True Blood. Since then, she’s had a few major roles, most notably as Irene Adler in BBC’s Sherlock series starring Benedict Cumberbatch.

Character: Bella Harrigan is the wife of Kevin Harrigan, and is just as swept up in the Harrigan family’s affairs whether she wants to be or not.

MobLand Supporting Cast & Characters

Mandeep Dhillon as Seraphina Harrigan: Seraphina is the loyal daughter of Conrad and Maeve. Although she may not support (or be entirely aware of) the darkest elements of her family’s business, her loyalty is never in doubt.

Alex Jennings as Archie: A long-time friend of Conrad Harrigan, Archie is an associate of the Harrigan crime empire, although his allegiance is called into question.

Jasmin Jobson as Zosia: One of Harry Da Souza’s trusted associates, she operates more on the logistical side of things.

Antonio González Guerrero as Kiko: Another associate of Harry’s, Kiko is more weapons-focused, both as a shooter and as a supplier for Harry.

Daniel Betts as Brendan Harrigan: The third of Conrad’s children, Brendan doesn’t have as prominent a role in his family’s business as his brother Kevin.

Emily Barber as Alice: The mysterious woman that Jan Da Souza befriends in the course of attending different types of therapy sessions.

Lisa Dwan as O’Hara: The Harrigans’ trusted family lawyer, who is privy to just about everything.

Tommy Flanagan as Moody: The operator of Moody’s gym, which operates as a neutral site for both the Harrigan and Stevensons when communication is required; Moody acts as a moderator in such instances.

Felix Edwards as Tommy Stevenson: The rival of Eddie Harrigan, Tommy is the beloved son of Richie Stevenson who runs into Eddie on a night out and gets caught up with the wild heir to the Harrigan throne.
