Gi-hun still doesn’t know that the Front Man and Young-il are the same person when Squid Game season 2 comes to a close, and I’m so excited for the moment he realizes this in season 3. Despite getting off to a shaky start, Gi-hun comes to trust and care about Young-il during his second tournament, just as he grows fond of all his new allies. Gi-hun seems genuinely distraught when he believes that Young-il is dying. And he’s even more devastated by Jung-bae’s demise, which the Front Man is directly responsible for.

Prolonging the inevitable Front Man reveal will make it more satisfying when it finally does happen.
